‘Eagle Lady’ Doris Mager to present program at Trout Lake Nature Center

by DeVore Design, March 11, 2016

Doris Mager, dubbed the “Eagle Lady” years ago by former Gov. Bob Graham for her devotion to the raptors, will present a program about eagles as well as owls, hawks and more Saturday at Trout Lake Nature Center.

She will appear at 10 a.m. with “E.T.”, a great horned owl, and “Impy,” a screech owl.

Mager, founder of the educational and research group S.O.A.R. (Save Our American Raptors), travels extensively to educate adults and children about the importance of protecting raptors.

The program is popular, so organizers suggest arriving early.

Admission is free but donations are welcome.

For more information, call 352-357-7536 or email tlnc.director@gmail.com.

Trout Lake is at 520 E. C.R. 44 Bypass.
