May 2017 – Listing to Pending by Weeks

More than 56 percent of Orlando homes that closed during the month of May moved from listing to pending in four weeks. Not only that, but nearly 30 percent went on and then off the market in just one week.

1 Week – 1,136 homes (29.8 percent of all sales)
2 Weeks – 447 homes (11.7 percent of all sales)
3 Weeks – 291 homes (7.6 percent of all sales)
4 Weeks – 284 homes (7.4 percent of all sales)
4-plus Weeks – 1,659 homes (43.5 percent of all sales)

Believe it or not, there were even homes sold in May that listed and went pending on the very same day!

0 Days – 156 homes (4.1 percent of all sales)
1 Day – 110 homes (2.9 percent of all sales)
2 Days – 151 homes (4.0 percent of all sales)
3 Days – 167 homes (4.4 percent of all sales)
4 Days – 163 homes (4.3 percent of all sales)
5 Days – 143 homes (3.8 percent of all sales)
6 Days – 136 homes (3.6 percent of all sales)

By far, Orlando homes that sold during May either came under contract within one week or beyond one month. Let’s see how that trend persisted — and evolved — from the start of the year to midst of Orlando’s traditional homebuying season.
